Abstract

 

Mr. K.S. was a 43-year-old married male who presented with concerns about lowered or negligible libido that had been affecting his self-confidence and relationship for the past ten months. After enrolling in the Nirvasa LL care program, there was significant improvement in self-reported sexual desire and levels of testosterone. After self-testing of testosterone levels, it was found that his levels were 250 ng/dL, which is significantly low. At the end of the Nirvasa program, his levels showed a marked improvement and stood at 390 ng/dL. He had reported a BMI of 33  (obesity) that had gradually shown improvement by decreasing to 29 (overweight) at the end of the program. 

Patient Condition Before Treatment

 

His medical history revealed that he was suffering from depressive episodes, low sexual energy, loss of erectile function and social binge-drinking tendencies exacerbated by performance anxiety. He reported zero physical activity due to his underlying obesity. 

Treatment Journey

 

Nirvasa’s care team recommended him to follow a holistic treatment approach designed to address his condition. The team of doctors, health coaches, nutritionists and sex therapists was available round the clock for the patient. He was prescribed Ayurveda medicines, nutraceutical supplements by the doctor allotted to his case. Following a consultation with the nutritionist, a tailored diet chart was delivered to him to manage his obesity, lifestyle choices and increase testosterone levels. Foods that help boost levels of testosterone were recommended for consumption in the diet plan. Lifestyle modifications were also suggested that included gradual reduction in the amount of alcohol consumed. He was recommended increasing his physical activity substantially. Health coaches were also responsible in pushing the patient towards daily activity through guided tutorials and live webinars. These have helped the patient in monitoring his own goals and helped him in building better lifestyle habits. Throughout the duration of this program, whenever K.S. faced a hurdle or inability to stick to the guided regimens, cognitive behavioral sessions were also scheduled to take care of the patients’ mental health and emotional regulation

Outcome

 

After just three months of adhering to the treatment regimen, K.S. demonstrated significant improvement, with his testosterone levels increasing upto 390 ng/dL, indicating a reduction in low libido symptoms and an improvement in his self reported sexual satisfaction and relationship quality.
